Norfolk house fire causes heavy damage

NORFOLK, Neb. - A fire broke out at a Norfolk home Wednesday night. 

The Norfolk Fire Division say that they responded to a fire Wednesday night around 11:15 p.m. at 4600 North Deer Run Drive in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Crews saw heavy flames and smoke coming from the attached garage of the house on arrival.  

They say that about 37 firefighters and 13 rigs controlled the fire in about 40 minutes. It took another two-and-a-half hours to overhaul the structure.

No one was injured. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Hadar Fire, Battle Creek Fire, Nebraska Public Power District, and Madison County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
