New ‘Siouxland 10 Under 40’ group honored

Local News

A new group of young Siouxland professionals is being honored for making the community better.

Monday night was the annual ’10 Under 40′ award ceremony put on by Siouxland Magazine.

It’s an opportunity for community members to nominate a young person for what they’ve done, not just in their careers, but also non-profit work. This year’s group includes a wide range of experience, including doctors, business owners, and professors.

“It’s outside of their work, they’re choosing to do community activities that better our community and it’s all philanthropic and volunteer work. So that just really showed their commitment to our Siouxland community,” says Susan O’Brien, owner of Siouxland Magazine.

KCAU9’s Jenna Rehnstrom along with her husband, Chris Liberto, a past ’10 Under 40′ recipient emceed the reception.

But, the new list is ‘hush-hush’. To find out who was chosen, you can look for the next issue of Siouxland Magazine which comes out next month.
