The wait is over for Siouxland craft lovers. The new Hobby Lobby on Sunny Brook Drive officially opened.

A new  52,000 square foot store opened Monday morning next to the newly opened Mills Fleet Farm.

Hobby Lobby has been in construction since the beginning of the summer.

The base of the building was constructed in only 14 days. The quick construction was done by a local company, Liteform.

Even though construction was quick, the Hobby Lobby Store Manager Jay Weeter said the wait has been a long one.

“We’re thrilled, I mean it always fun to have shiny and new. Right? And our customers have been really excited for it. They’ve been more excited than I have been because they want to see the new seasonal merchandise that we didn’t have in the other store yet this year and it’s all out here for display now,” Weeter said.

Hobby Lobby’s former location at Southern Square is now closed, with all merchandise now available at the new location.
