Near Woodbine, IA (ABC9 News) A Missouri Valley man died over the weekend, after a motorcycle accident near Woodbine.

According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, authorities responded to an single vehicle motorcycle accident just before 7 p.m. on Friday.

Authorities say the driver, 45-year-old Blake Shipman of Missouri Valley was rounding a curve when he crashed.

Shipman suffered serious head injuries was airlifted to the Nebraska Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities say he was not wearing a helmet, and the accident is being investigated.
