Missouri River levels in Sioux City remain well below the record flows of 2011

A fight against mother nature continued Friday night across Siouxland.  Rain water and melting snow filling rivers and streams.  Flood water from the Big Sioux River will eventually end up in the Missouri River passing through Sioux City.  Missouri River levels along the Sioux City riverfront remain steady Friday night.  Emergency managers telling KCAU 9 that crest projections of 30.8 feet Saturday night into Sunday morning are unchanged.  Sioux City Fire Marshal Mark Aesoph telling us that infrastructure is in place should river water flow into the interchange at the Hamilton Blvd. and I-29.
