The ‘Miracle Kids’ from Tanzania spent part of Wednesday reuniting with a few students from East High School.
The two groups developed a relationship when the Tanzania children were in Sioux City during their recovery after a deadly bus accident more than a year ago.
The kids had the opportunity to spend some time going to classes together throughout the day.
“It’s been really fun. Last summer, we had a bible study with them where they were staying, so we just got to know them there and we brought them Christmas presents. It’s just really fun to get to know all three of them,” said Mazzy Pick, an East High freshman.
The ‘Miracle Kids’ are back in town for medical checkups.
