The Milwaukee Wiener House’s week-long celebration for its 100th birthday is drawing to a close.
The hot dog shop spent its last day celebrating their customers.
With Customer Appreciation Day, the restaurant discounted their dogs to just $1 a piece or 100 pennies. It created a line that went clear out the door, but customers said it was well worth the wait.
“It’s exciting. It’s fun to see a business to stay in business this long, that’s rare anymore,” said Jacki Talbot.
Some customers took the 100 penny hot dogs literally bringing in rolls of coins to pay. One customer even brought a framed picture of 100 pennies as a gift to the restaurant.
