KCAU9 was on the scene of a semi versus pedestrian accident Thursday morning in Hinton, Iowa.
According to the Plymouth County Sheriff, the pedestrian was crossing Highway 75 towards a Casey’s Gas Station when a northbound semi-truck struck him. He sustained non-life threatening but serious injuries and was transported by Hinton EMS to Mercy Hospital in Sioux City.
Morning commuters going through Hinton experienced traffic delays due to lane blockage from the incident.
KCAU9 spoke with an officer of the Hinton Police but he declined to comment.
The Hinton Police Department, Fire, and EMS was assisted by Plymouth County Sheriff and Iowa State Patrol.
