Makerspace grand opening coming soon

MakerSpace Sioux City located at 1401 Tri-View Avenue in Sioux City will have a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony on September 14th at 4 pm. The Grand Opening festivities will be on Saturday, Sept. 15th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will be various demonstrations including 3D printing, woodworking, sewing and tours of the 12,000 square foot space. Enjoy the food and fun including a drawing each hour for a month membership. During the Grand Opening they will have a special on monthly memberships; buy three get one free.

The MakerSpace community is found worldwide with a wide variety of equipment, classes, electronics, and technology depending on the needs of the individual community. Here in Sioux City, they’re a non-profit organization offering Woodworking Tools, 3D printers, Computers, Sewing Machines, Laser Engraver, and a variety of classes such as Cooking, Geocaching, Knitting, Jewelry Making, Wreath Making and many more.

Depending on your needs, they offer a variety of membership options. They offer a day-pass for small projects, a monthly pass for larger projects or a full year for those on-going projects and hobbies. You do not need to be a member to attend any of our classes or workshops. Simply visit the MakerSpace website: www.makerspacesiouxcity.org, register for the course and pay the class fee.
