Despite a few hits of rain, the weather today in Siouxland hasn’t been all bad. Temperatures reached the 60s in most areas with the areas of clouds and scattered rain. The chance of rain isn’t over tonight, but it looks to be widely scattered. Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s with a north wind.
Cooler weather is expected tomorrow with additional scattered rain hits here. Don’t expect widespread rain, but the pattern is active enough to prepare for a shower. Highs on Monday will be close to 60. Rain chances will subside early Tuesday ahead of the next storm system. As a result, highs should be around 60 again. However, increasing northeast winds and driving rain will keep temperatures much cooler on Wednesday, with highs only in the lower 50s. We think some significant rain is possible in the Tuesday night through Wednesday time frame, perhaps 1-2″.
The pattern will be slow to improve Thursday, but drier weather should begin on Friday. Warmer weather is expected next weekend.
