We enjoyed a pleasant afternoon in Siouxland, but the weather is changing as a cold front arrives from the west. Scattered showers and thunderstorms have developed with this feature and more rain is expected tomorrow as front switches the wind around to the east. Highs on Sunday will still be in the mid 60s to around 70.
Temperatures will be cooler Monday and we can’t rule out more scattered showers. The rain chances may subside on Tuesday ahead of a much larger system on Wednesday. This one will produce widespread showers and a few areas of thunderstorms. Winds will gusty from the east and highs will be stuck in the mid 50s, not exactly pleasant weather. Rainfall totals could easily be 1-2″ during that time frame.
We expect slow recovery into Thursday with a few more showers still possible. The weather will improve by next weekend as highs bounce back into the 60s and 70s in most areas.
