Two young Iowa siblings were recognized at the fair Thursday afternoon, for saving their mother’s life.
Mason Lilienthal, 12, and Morgan Lilienthal, 10, received ‘The Outstanding Service Award’ from Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds.
The two helped steer the car their mother was driving when she had a seizure
Both kids say it was a scary moment for them.
“We were at this intersection and she just dropped her hands off the steering wheel and started to shake and Morgan grabbed the wheel and pulled us into family foods,” said Mason.
“And he got up on the middle consul and started steering while I tried to press the brake like this,” said Morgan.
