Iowa sees 441 new COVID-19 cases, 4 new deaths

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCAU) – The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) has confirmed 441 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 25,865.

Health officials reported four more virus-related deaths, raising the death toll to 685.

The state’s health department announced 114 additional recoveries, bringing the recovery number to 16,018.

Iowa has 9,162 active cases of COVID-19.

IDPH said that 256,960 people have been tested for the virus and 230,723 of them came back negative.

The state’s health department mentions that one in 12 Iowans have been tested for the coronavirus.

  • Plymouth: 241 confirmed, 157 recovered, 4 deaths
  • Dickinson: 198 confirmed, 75 recovered, 2 death

  • O’Brien: 71 confirmed, 32 recovered, 1 death
  • Cherokee: 66 confirmed, 50 recovered, 0 deaths

  • Carroll: 70 confirmed, 18 recovered, 1 death
  • Monona: 59 confirmed, 22 recovered, 0 deaths
