SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – The Parks and Recreation Department of Sioux City is looking for volunteers to help monitor the dog park and is holding an informational meeting Tuesday night.
The new Dog Park Ambassador’s Program is meant for those who often visit the park and want to help maintain the park’s rules are being followed.
The ambassadors will receive a t-shirt to wear while at the park. The city said that there may be other incentives as well.
To become an ambassador, individuals must be 18-years-old and spend 1-2 hour at the park every week. Additionally, if owning a dog, it must be registered with the city.
The informational meeting is set for Tuesday, May 14 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the 3rd floor Conference Room of the Long Lines Family Rec Center at 401 Gordon Drive. If interested or if you have more questions, you can contact Recreation Supervisor Eric Griffith at 712-279-6162 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
