Heatwave Continues With Small Storm Chances

Local News

Today will be hot and humid under partly cloudy skies with a high temperature of 94°. Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings are out for much of the region. There may be a stray thundershower or two…but the rain chance for today stands at only 10% as many of us will watch the dry pattern persist. Winds will be light and variable under 10 MPH.

Tonight we’ll continue to carry a slim chance of thunderstorms. Again – coverage will be very limited. It’ll be extremely warm with a low of 75°.

Tomorrow will be hot and sunny again! The high will be 95°. Late tomorrow night there’s a chance of some more showers and thunderstorms slipping through associated with a cold front which will finally bring relief from the heat next week.

Saturday’s high will be just over 90° – but then we’ll see sunshine and highs in the mid/upper 80s stretched through almost all of the following week. Unfortunately rain chances will be hard to come by as drought conditions will likely get worse.

Stay cool today and be mindful of young children & pets susceptible to the heat!
