July 11, 2018 - Today we'll have sunny skies and hot temperatures with a high of 93° in Sioux City. When accounting for the humidity, it'll feel like 100° to 105° this afternoon...sweltering! No surprise then that the National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for nearly all of Siouxland from Noon until 8 PM. Please do your best to stay cool and never leave children or pets inside of cars which can certainly heat up in a hurry on days like this. A silver lining - a light SSE breeze will make the heat more tolerable as gusts hit about 25 MPH.
Tonight we'll retain much of the heat with a mild low of 75° and clear skies.
Tomorrow will also be mostly sunny and hot once more with a high of 93°. During the evening, showers and thunderstorms will move in with a cold front.
Rain chances will extend into Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as we dial back the heat a notch. High temperatures will be steady in the middle 80s through the remainder of the 7 day forecast.
Have a nice day.
