Goodwill has been awarded an almost $18,000 grant to help with education centered around nutrition.

The grant was thanks to the Wellmark Foundation, which will be going toward Goodwill’s “Youthbuild Skills and Grills” project.

This project helps teach at risk 16 to 24 year-olds how to responsibly shop for healthy food, how prepare healthy food, and how to make eating healthy food a priority.

Nearly 40 students took part in the program last year.

Wellmark has awarded 19 of these grants this year.
