SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Goodwill of the Great Plains hosts job fairs throughout the year, but Wednesday the organization hosted its first job fair at the Mary J. Treglia Community House in Sioux City.
The hope was to connect area employers with diverse candidates for their open positions. The job fair included more than 15 local businesses with positions to fill, a one-stop-shop for people looking for new employment.
“It’s relaxed and usually there’s more information that’s able to flow than if you just put out an application on the internet,” Goodwill Employment Specialist Diane Neri said.
Goodwill of the Great Plains will be holding more job fairs in the fall.
