UPDATE: City of Sioux city sent a statement about garbage services.

Citywide Collection has been able to catch up with garbage and recycling collection faster than anticipated over the last 24 hours following Monday’s icy road conditions. They are back to their normal schedule for pickup. Residents may place garbage and recycling out as usual.

If anyone is missed for pick up, residents should contact Citywide Collections at 279-0151 to report a missed garbage collection.

Some Siouxland communities have had their garbage services delayed this week.

Sioux City’s has been delayed a day for the week. Any carts must be removed 24 hours after collection.

Dakota City said that trash collection is one day behind schedule and that collection will be Friday.

Sioux City and Dakota City officials said that poor road conditions are the cause of the delay.

South Sioux City also delayed garbage pick-up by a day this week.

They say the delay is due to President’s Day on Monday.
