A 72-year-old farmer is dead after a Friday farm accident near Superior.
According to the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, they were called to a farm accident on Friday around 12:40 p.m.
They report that Thomas Mart, 72, of rural Superior, was working with a was working with a backhoe on a tractor when he got pinned.
Authorities tried to use lifesaving efforts but were unsuccessful, and they pronounced Mart dead at the scene.
Superior Fire and Rescue and Spirit Lake Ambulance assisted on scene.
