We have been through a few interesting weeks here in Siouxland recently.
Last week we saw nearly an entire 7 day stretch of overcast skies, and cooler temperatures. This entire week was filled with sunshine and warm temps. It looks like when we hit next week, the overcast skies, rain chances and cooler temperatures make a comeback.
The humidity in Siouxland jumped up overnight. Most of us are now sitting in the upper 60’s in terms of dew points, a much different look than the lower 60’s and upper 50’s we were seeing just a day ago.
Moisture in the atmosphere is expected to stick around through the weekend with increasing temperatures.
We may see heat indices breaking into the 90’s and even the mid 90’s with high humidity, temperatures in the upper 80’s and minimal winds this weekend.
Cooler temperatures are just around the corner. When we reach Monday, mid 80’s will be back, but that is the start of a big cooldown.
Temperatures will fall to the mid 70’s next week, with rain chances extending from Monday through Thursday at the moment.
