UPDATE: Fire extinguished at South Saint Aubin St. apartments

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – UPDATE: The fire on Saint Aubin Street in Sioux City has been extinguished.

Fire officials told KCAU 9 that the building was a large home that had been converted into three apartments and that residents had evacuated by the time crews arrived on scene. No on was injured.

A majority of the damage from the fire was isolated to the attic, where the fire got into the insulation.

Red Cross has been called to assist the residents.

The cause of the fired has not been determined.

PREVIOUS: Officials responded to a report of a fire on South Saint Aubin Street.

Around 11:55 a.m., Sioux City fire crews were called to a building fire in the 2000 block of South Saint Aubin Street.

The building crews are parked in front of is across the street from St. Luke Lutheran Church.
