SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Crews responded to a report of a fire on Sioux City’s west side around 3:14 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
When crews arrived at Hawkeye Transmission at 721 Cook Street, they observed thick smoke coming out of a partially open garage door, and the inside of the structure was filled with smoke. Further investigation determined there was a vehicle on fire in the back of the shop.

Officials said one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Sioux City Fire Rescue successfully extinguished the fire.
The cause is still under investigation.
