It was a chilly night for crews called to the scene of a fire at Sioux Valley Automotive in Correctionville. That call came in around 8:30 Monday evening. Woodbury County Sheriffs deputies say flames were visible when first responders arrived to the 307 Sioux Avenue location.

After speaking with Correctionville Fire Chief Jeff Hill, KCAU 9 can confirm that the building was vacant at the time of the fire. Likewise, no first responders were injured while fighting the blaze. Fire departments from Moville, Anthon, Quimby, Washta, Pierson and Cushing all offered assistance.

As of 2am this morning fire officials were still on scene monitoring the site. No word yet on a cause.
