Candidate Joe Biden spends second day in Iowa

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Over the next few days, 7 Democratic presidential candidates are scheduled to hold events in Iowa. The most recent to join the field of 21 was campaigning in Des Moines Wednesday night.  Former Vice President Joe Biden stumping in Iowa for the 2nd day in a row.

Labeled the front-runner even before entering the race last week, some polls show Biden growing his lead over the expansive field. Biden telling Des Moines votes he wants to restore the backbone of the nation.

“It’s not Wall Street and bankers and hedge fund managers that built America, you all built America. Really, you built America. Average everyday men have risen up and done great things,” said Biden.

Fellow Democratic candidates John Delaney, Elizabeth Warren, Marianne Williamson, Amy Klobuchar, Beto O’Rourke and Bernie Sanders are all headed to Iowa yet this week.  Sanders makes his first campaign stop of the year in Sioux City on Sunday.  The Vermont senator is scheduled to speak at the Orpheum Theatre beginning at 6:30 pm. with doors opening at 5 pm. No ticket is required. First come, first in the theatre. Sanders also campaigned in Sioux City in 2015 and 2016.
