Briar Cliff’s annual Haunted Tunnel fundraiser underway

Local News

The Briar Cliff University underground tunnels have gone from an ordinary walkway to extraordinarily scary!

For those who dare pass, the underground tunnels were turned into the mind of Tim Burton, filled with obstacles and scary creatures.

The haunted tunnels have become a Briar Cliff tradition that Siouxlanders look forward to every year.

“I think it’s a really fun thing for us to do every year. It’s a good creative outlet, especially for those like me that really like Halloween and like putting on stuff like this because I know other people appreciate it too even if they’re not being a part of it, just going through it,” says Briar Cliff’s Ariel Pokett.

The tunnels are open through Halloween. Family friendly hour (lights on, no actors) is from 6 to 7 p.m., and scary hours are 7 to 9 p.m. The cost is $3 for adults and $2 for children.

All proceeds from the event go to the Choices Student Organization at Briar Cliff.
