SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – One of North America’s biggest railroad networks is putting some of their Sioux City workers on furlough.

A spokesperson for BNSF Railway said the freight company will be furloughing fewer than 30 employees.

The demand for moving freight has decreased, causing the furloughs.

The spokesperson did not say when the furloughs may end.
