Local News

Good afternoon and happy Sunday Siouxland! It’s been a dreary day so far today, and it’s only going to continue. We are going to have a wet start to the week with lots of rain chances coming our way, along with a cold front moving through tomorrow afternoon. And that cold front is going to be bringing fall like weather to Siouxland. Temperatures this afternoon are currently in the 60s and 70s. It is also pretty windy out there today with winds coming from the southwest between 15 and 25 mph. Satellite and radar imagery shows that we have had a few scattered showers and thunderstorms move through the area, but we have a nice break from that for a little bit. We do have more on the way for this evening, BUT the good news is we have been downgraded from a slight risk for severe weather to a marginal risk. This means the chance for severe weather in Siouxland this evening is smaller than what we were looking at yesterday. And tonight we will continue to be cloudy and windy as we fall to a low of 70 with winds sticking between 10 and 20 mph. As always, tune into KCAU 9 News tonight at 5:30 and 10 p.m. to see when that fall weather will be in Siouxland.
