JUNE 25, 2018 - As Siouxland tries to dry out after seeing round after round of heavy rain, Mother Nature is responding with....well, at least lighter amounts of rain tomorrow.
In the meantime, the ground is saturated from recent heavy rain. This will cause flooding in spots. Also, there are washed out roads. Be especially careful at night since these hazards are hard to see after dark. Remember, never cross a flooded road as just a bit of water can carry a vehicle away. Turn around, don't drown!
As the low pressure moves east tonight, it will cause the heavy downpours to end by early Tuesday morning. The low will be 62.
A few scattered light showers are possible through the day on Tuesday on the back edge of the low. Otherwise, the sky will be mostly cloudy with a high of 79.
80s and sunshine will return on Wednesday, so it will actually feel like June.
After some early-morning showers and storms, it's up to the 90s Thursday. 90s will persist through Friday and Saturday, with high levels of humidity.
Our next cold front will move in over the weekend and will spark a few showers and storms Saturday and Sunday. The front will cool us back to the 80s Sunday and Monday.
