A few communities in Woodbury County will be without 911 services overnight.
Frontier Communication will be conducting a fiber cutover, according to a release from the Woodbury County Emergency Management.
The outage will limit outgoing calls for Frontier customers of the Kingsley, Pierson, and Washta communities, especially 911 calls.
During the outage, they say that landlines that use Frontier services will ring busy during 911 and non-local calls.
Anyone that may have an emergency is asked to use a cell phone to call 911. If you do not have a cell phone, you are asked to contact a neighbor who does.
The outage is expected to start Thursday around 11:00 p.m. and come back Friday at 5:00 a.m.
