ALTA, Iowa (KCAU) – A motorcycle driver has died after being involved in a crash near Alta, Iowa Monday night.

The Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office said they received a report of a crash near 570th Street and county road M-31 Monday around 6:10 p.m. The caller told authorities that a motorcycle hit an anhydrous tank being pulled by a truck.

They said that Lien Tejeda Lores, 29, of Storm Lake was driving the motorcycle, a 2008 Suzuki GSXR, north on M-31. Drivin the pickup with the anhydrous tank, Norman O’Bannon, 67, of Alta, had pull off from 570th Street and south on M-31. As the motorcycle hit the tank, Lores fell off and entered the east ditch.

Lores was pronounced dead at the scene. O’Bannon was not injured.
