1 injured in Sloan apartment fire

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – One person was injured after an apartment complex caught fire in Sloan Monday morning. 

The call of a fire at an apartment complex at 219 Beall Street in Sloan came in around 10:15 a.m. 

One person was taken to MercyOne for injuries.

Woodbury County Deputies and Sloan Fire and Rescue were first on the scene, but due to the size of the fire, units from Salix, Whiting, Hornick, Sergeant Bluff, and Woodbury County Emergency Services assisted.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office, Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office and the Sloan Fire Department are investigating the fire. 

The sheriff’s office said the building appears to be a total loss.
