Paddlefish tags available for Iowa anglers

Iowa News

Iowa anglers are able to get their hands on tags for paddlefish.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is currently selling tags for paddlefish.

Anglers are allowed to buy up to two tags. One can be bought now to the end of the year and the other from January 1 to 7. Two tags can be bought in January if not bought in December.

Tags and instructions will be sent later in January.

The paddlefish can be fished during the season starting February 2 to April 30.

Anglers can head to the Missouri and Big Sioux Rivers to catch the big fish.

You can get a paddlefish license by visiting the DNR website or calling 800-367-1188.
