The first gentleman of Iowa, the governor’s husband, had surgery overnight Monday.
Kevin Reynolds, the husband to Governor Kim Reynolds, was admitted to a hospital overnight, according to the governors’ office.
He was admitted with abdominal pain.
They say that doctors determined he had a appendicitis attack, so they performed an appendectomy.
The surgery was said to be successful, and Kevin Reynolds was recovering as of Tuesday morning.
