Estherville mayoral race decided in runoff election

ESTHERVILLE, Iowa (KCAU) – Voters in Estherville, Iowa have elected a new mayor.

Joseph May edging out Ann Goebel 371 to 194 on Tuesday night. The two picked up the most votes in the November general election but neither reached the required 50 percent of votes in the crowded field.

About 14 percent of the eligible voters cast a ballot in the runoff.
