Des Moines police release new video of mountain lion

Iowa News

DES MOINES, Iowa (WOI) – Police has just received an additional video that appears to show a mountain lion in a residential neighborhood of Des Moines.

The video was recorded near SW 16th St. and McKinley Ave at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Friday.

Please exercise caution in this area. If this is the same animal, it appears to be moving southbound towards a less populated area of Central Iowa. Supervise small children, and monitor your pets.

Police are not sure if this is the same mountain lion that was caught on video on Thursday morning. The Iowa DNR said that its officers are not currently looking for the mountain lion.
