Boy Injured when strong wind flips bounce pad

Iowa News

The wind may have died down in Siouxland, but Wednesday, it proved dangerous for a few kids at a Nebraska pumpkin patch.

According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, a two-year-old boy remains in critical condition after getting trapped under a bounce pad while visiting JK’s Pumpkin Patch near Lincoln.

Authorities say an unexpected gust of wind hit the bounce pad and moved it nearly 40 yards, but the boy became trapped underneath.

The National Weather Service recorded wind gusts of up to 59 miles per hour in the area.
