SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) –

Like plenty of other people, KCAU 9 is Siouxland Proud of the hometown Explorers baseball team. With that in mind, we’re kicking off this week’s American Association championship series a day early with free tickets to games one and two.

I tell you what Bridget KCAU 9 viewers are taking advantage of this deal only good until the end of the newscast. Two tickets to either game one or two but fans need to be here before the end of the newscast to claim those tickets. It’s an offer only being offered to those watching KCAU right now.

The X’s face either St. Paul or Fargo in the best of 5 series and it all starts right here with games 1 and 2 Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Of course, every member of the team has played a part in this title run including closer Matt Pobereyko who joins me. Matt, what has this year been like?

“It’s just been a great run. I think we are in a great place right now. We are hitting the ball and pitching the ball well and we are coming off a series win at Kansas City so there is some confidence as well,” said Pobereyko.

We’re hoping a big crowd comes to the park tomorrow night. Does it make a difference when the park is buzzing?

“Ya know it does. We love it when the fans come out. We have played well here at Lewis and Clark Park and when fans are here to make some noise it helps us stay focused on things,” added Pobereyko.

First pitch tomorrow night comes at 7:15 at Lewis and Clark Park.
