SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KCAU) –

The City of South Sioux City has reached a $75,000 settlement relating to the 2018 explosion at a grain elevator.

The city took the owner of the facility, Andersen Farms Inc. to court after it failed to pay a $120,000 dollar invoice for reimbursement of emergency expenses incurred during the response to the May explosion.

A South Sioux City city-code allows the city to be reimbursed for expenses from the owner of the elevator.
