Church hosts Northwestern watch party

ORANGE CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – It had been more than three decades since the Northwestern Red Raiders competed in the NAIA Football Championship.

In 1984, the Raiders found themselves the runner-up after losing to Linfield College.

That’s why Pastor Tim Breen with First Reformed Church in Orange City organized a watch party to help folks cheer on their home team from afar.

KCAU 9’s Hannah Adamson attended the watch party, and shares what fans both young and old thought of the big game.
