KCAU 9 Sports Director Jordan Furbee

Jordan Furbee joined KCAU 9 as Sports Director in July of 2017.  He began his career at in Sioux City as a sports/news reporter, before venturing over to news where he served as main anchor before returning back to sports.

During his first stint in Siouxland, Jordan won numerous awards for sports reporting and best sportscast, including an Emmy nomination in 2013. 

Jordan spent the last two years in Des Moines at WOI, where he covered Iowa State, Iowa, Drake, Northern Iowa, the Iowa Cubs, Iowa Wild, Iowa Wolves and Iowa Barnstormers as well as numerous state championships at the high school level.


A native of Columbus, Ohio, Jordan graduated from Miami University (in Ohio) with a degree in Mass Communication.

He is a huge fan of all sports, but especially college football and THE Ohio State Buckeyes.

Jordan is also an avid golfer and has volunteered his time with The First Tee, helping
impact the lives of young people through the game of golf.

He enjoys any outdoor activity, country music and Netflix.  Unfortunately, he did not invent the Furby toy!
