KCAU 9, UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Foundation and the Sioux City Musketeers partner each year to raise funds to fight cancer in Siouxland. This year’s Pink in the Rink event will feature a recognition of survivors and a night full of hockey to support everyone battling cancer, and a jersey auction following the game.
This year the game is October 21st when the Musketeers take on the Lincoln Stars! Stay afterwards for your chance to bid on the game jerseys!

The public is invited to a wreath laying ceremony at the Sgt. Floyd Monument, 2601 S Lewis Blvd, Sioux City at Noon, Saturday, December 16. Hosted by the Sioux City Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, along with the Sgt. Floyd Honor Guard and others, this event is in collaboration with the “National Wreaths Across America Day,” a day set aside to lay wreaths at the places where we remember, honor, and teach about our veterans. Improve or refresh your painting skills in a supportive and creative environment. This class will provide guided instruction, demonstrations, and critique combined with encouragement of self-exploration within your work. Students are expected to bring their own supplies. The instructor will have paper available for purchase.

THE GILCHRIST LEARNING CENTER REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION POLICY
-Registration closes two days before the start of a class.
-Class sizes are limited, and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, the Gilchrist Learning Center cannot prorate students for missed classes or classes they cannot attend. The Gilchrist Learning Center strives to provide the highest quality art classes with various media for all ages. We value your feedback. -Inclement weather: Classes may be canceled due to weather. A makeup class will be scheduled if classes are canceled due to hazardous weather conditions.
-The Gilchrist Learning Center course cancellation policy: Occasionally, the Gilchrist Learning Center may find it necessary to cancel a course or workshop due to low enrollment or other scheduling conflicts. If this occurs, registered students will be contacted and allowed to transfer to another class or be refunded the full course tuition and any additional fees.
-Student-requested withdrawal policy: Students will receive a 75% refund of tuition if the Gilchrist Learning Center Education Department receives a request to withdraw no later than seven days before the first day of the course. Requests to withdraw from a course less than seven days before the first class session will not be eligible for tuition refunds. This cancellation policy applies to registrations received less than seven days before the start date. Please email your request to withdraw to: artcentereducation@sioux-city.org.
