Drive up and pick up your favorite authentic Greek food at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Sioux City, IA! This Saturday May 6 from 11-7pm, Sunday May 7 from 11-3pm! Gyros, Greek Pastry Packs and more!! Greek Salad dressing will also be available! Cash & Card Accepted!

Fuel Hearts and Feed Souls — Drive-Up and Donate!! Benefiting Food Bank of Siouxland Inc.
Bring two donations through the Drive Up and receive one free refreshing drink . Limit 1 per customer.

Watch for directions. Enter on 6th Street and go through the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox parking lot.

Menu includes; traditional gyro sandwich, Greek salad, Greek fries, spanakopita, baklava, Greek style rice and meatballs, loukoumades and Greek honey puffs.

We are so excited to partner with Shawn Frankl’s Big Iron Gym for the 2nd year in a row! You won’t want to miss this year’s event, it’s going to be bigger and better!!
Pull For Pups and Run 4 Rescues will be held at Big Iron Gym located at 505 Chambers St, Sioux City, IA.
The start time is 10:00am.
There will be a dead lift competition and a 1 mile walk or run. This is an all ages event, so bring the whole family!
There will be pets on site available for adoption, food truck, alcohol for purchase, and other local vendors!
With the event being in June this year, we get to enjoy the outdoors this year!
All proceeds go the Noah’s Hope!

Volunteers with Siouxland Freedom Park will host an 18-hole golf tournament on Monday, June 12th, starting at noon at the Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, SD. Team registration is $600. Outdoor Yoga Class

If you enjoy yoga and nature, give this class a try! We will go for a short hike (about 1 mile roundtrip) to Mount Lucia and practice yoga with an incredible view! The yoga class will be a gentle flow, focusing on stretching and relaxation. Suitable for any level of yoga experience, even beginners. Yoga mats not provided. Pond Study

There’s more than meets the eye! Kids will take a closer look at the world around them to discover the critters that our eyes often miss. We will look for macro-invertebrates in the pond. Bring a water bottle & wear shoes that can get wet & muddy. Limited to 15 participants, ages 7-12. Meet at the parking lot by the pond. Space Cities

Sioux City Public Museum
Students will learn about living and working in space, design and build space stations and conduct experiments in Microgravity, rocketry and weightlessness. Co-teachers are NASA trained Connie Richardson Smith and Mary Richardson Tester and award-winning teacher Ben Tester. Bring a sack lunch.

Junior Pilot Summer Camp
8-12th Grade

Junior Pilot Summer Camp is a STEM camp at the air museum and part of the 727 STEM Learning Center sponsored by FedEx Express
The camp is for students entering or just completing 8th through 12th grade and will include hands on pilot training and airfield orientation.
Two Day Camp
Thursday and Friday
Session 1 June 22 and 23 – 8th – 12th graders
Junior Pilot Camp is a two-day program. The second day will be reserved for flying in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk. More details and registration can be found on our website.
Students will learn the basics of flight, tour airport facilities, plan a cross country flight.

Stars and their Stories: A Stargazing Night

Learn about the summer night sky and present constellations at this relaxing stargazing event. Explore the different myths and legends associated with the visible stars.We will have several telescopes set up to view parts of space up close. The entire family including all ages is welcome! Bring blankets, bug spray and flashlights!

Come join the Adams Homestead staff in helping take care of the barnyard animals here at the park. Our barnyard animals include two donkeys, two sheep, ducks, chickens and geese. Sioux City Parks and Recreation is excited for the third annual Kid’s Triathlon on Saturday, August 5, 2023! There will be two ages groups: 6-10 & 11-15.
