Register your little Grinch for Kids Night Out, an evening dedicated to painting and having fun. Each artist will complete a ceramic Grinch gnome! Don’t worry, dinner is on us! Pizza and drinks to be served while the children create and mingle. This is a drop off event for ages 6+, so parents enjoy the evening to yourself! Attendees are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled studio time to get settled in and smocked as well as to ensure group seating.
National Wreaths Across America Day

The public is invited to a wreath laying ceremony at the Sgt. Floyd Monument, 2601 S Lewis Blvd, Sioux City at Noon, Saturday, December 16. Hosted by the Sioux City Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, along with the Sgt. Floyd Honor Guard and others, this event is in collaboration with the “National Wreaths Across America Day,” a day set aside to lay wreaths at the places where we remember, honor, and teach about our veterans. The event will be held at the monument; attendees are encouraged to dress warmly.

This is Sioux City’s Winter indoor car/bike show! We thought it was about time Sioux City had one again. We will have the Sioux City Convention Center packed with hot rods and bikes, vendors and much more! It wouldn’t be a car show without a pinup contest, get ready to see these ladies dolled up for this winter event you won’t want to miss. Develop and explore the foundations for making successful watercolor paintings under the guidance of watercolor expert Glenda Drennen.
Improve or refresh your painting skills in a supportive and creative environment. This class will provide guided instruction, demonstrations, and critique combined with encouragement of self-exploration within your work. Students are expected to bring their own supplies. The instructor will have paper available for purchase.

THE GILCHRIST LEARNING CENTER REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION POLICY
-Registration closes two days before the start of a class.
-Class sizes are limited, and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, the Gilchrist Learning Center cannot prorate students for missed classes or classes they cannot attend. The Gilchrist Learning Center strives to provide the highest quality art classes with various media for all ages. We value your feedback. If you want to share your experience or have questions or concerns, please email us at artcentereducation@sioux-city.org.
-Inclement weather: Classes may be canceled due to weather. A makeup class will be scheduled if classes are canceled due to hazardous weather conditions.
-The Gilchrist Learning Center course cancellation policy: Occasionally, the Gilchrist Learning Center may find it necessary to cancel a course or workshop due to low enrollment or other scheduling conflicts. If this occurs, registered students will be contacted and allowed to transfer to another class or be refunded the full course tuition and any additional fees.
-Student-requested withdrawal policy: Students will receive a 75% refund of tuition if the Gilchrist Learning Center Education Department receives a request to withdraw no later than seven days before the first day of the course. Requests to withdraw from a course less than seven days before the first class session will not be eligible for tuition refunds. This cancellation policy applies to registrations received less than seven days before the start date. Please email your request to withdraw to: artcentereducation@sioux-city.org. You may also call and request to withdraw at (712) 279-6580.
