Noah Sacco joined the KCAU 9 news team as a sports reporter in June of 2021.
Growing up in Omaha, Nebraska Noah’s played baseball his whole life, 17 years in fact. Much like his athletic career, his passion for sports storytelling began at a young age. Continually reading the sports section of the local paper and watching ESPN 30 for 30 documentaries soon piqued his interest to tell stories of his own.
A proud graduate of Simpson College, Noah earned his B.A. in Sports Communication with a double minor in Multimedia Journalism and Sports Administration. Go Storm!
Aside from being a member of the Storm baseball team, Noah was a staff reporter for the award-winning student-run newspaper “The Simpsonian”, served as station manager for the campus radio station KSTM-FM, and interned with the sports departments at WOI-TV and WHO 13 in Des Moines, Iowa.
For his senior capstone, Noah established the first-ever student-run weekly newscast on Simpson’s campus, SCTV. He was also awarded the Dick Petrik Outstanding Student Award at the 2021 IBNA Convention.
Besides journalistic endeavors, he enjoys playing golf, brewery-browsing, and adding to his movie collection.
Noah is thrilled to be a part of Siouxland and is eager to tell impactful stories within the community! If you have a story idea or just want to say hi, you can contact Noah at nsacco@kcautv.com
