When it comes to weather, I love it all, summer storms, a sunny day, a good snowstorm (yes, I
DO like snow sometimes), and everything in between, although I’m partial to warmer weather,
so spring and summer are my favorite seasons.
I was born and raised in Speedway, Indiana…a small town just west of Indianapolis, and home
of the racing capital of the world, the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where my love and
passion for weather developed and grew.
I spent my last two years of high school taking a TV Broadcasting class at the local career
center where I had the opportunity to be a part of BDTV where I did a bit of everything, from
creating content for weekly newscasts to, of course, doing the weather segment. BDTV is where
I truly fell in love with broadcast meteorology, after which I attended college at the Harvard of
Muncie, better known as Ball State University where I received my bachelor of science in
Meteorology & Climatology. During my time at Ball State, I was a part of the Storm Chase Team,
as well as Cardinal Weather Service where I gained valuable forecasting experience.
In 2022, I got my 1st on-air job at WHIZ-News in Zanesville, OH where I spent about 8 months
as the weekend/fill-in meteorologist and then as a weekday news reporter. And that brings me
here, to KCAU-9 and Sioux City, in January 2023 and I am so excited to join the team and get to
forecast for Siouxland!
In my free time, I enjoy: playing with my super sweet Cardigan Welsh Corgi, River; hiking;
exploring new places; and binge-watching all my favorite tv shows. There’s also a pretty decent
chance you’ll find me at Target during one of my practically daily trips there. I also enjoy hockey
(mostly the Detroit Red Wings), baseball (Cincinnati Reds), and IndyCar/F1 racing.
If you see me around town exploring, be sure to say hi! Also, I’m a foodie, so if you have any
restaurant or local shop/food/drink place suggestions send them my way!
