USD Breaks Ground on New Complex

- VERMILLION, S.D. (ABC9 Sports)--The University of South Dakota broke ground on their $66 million Sports Performance Enhancement Complex on Tuesday. The complex also includes a science, health, and research lab, an outdoor track, and a soccer complex. The basketball court will seat 6,000 spectators.

In attendance at the ground-breaking were USD President James W. Abbott, Governor Dennis Daugaard, and USD Director of Athletics David Herbster.

The complex is expected to be completed by fall of 2016.
