Speech therapist arrest for sexual exploitation of minor

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - A Sioux City speech therapist has been arrested for the sexual abuse and other sexual misconduct with a 11-year-old.

Jacob Rose, 35, of Sioux City, was arrested and charged with the felony of sexual exploitation by counselor. He was also charged with the misdemeanors of assault with intent to abuse and lascivious conduct with a minor.

Court documents say that a 11-year-old female was scheduled for a speech therapy appointment on May 31. Her regular therapist was not available so Rose covered the appointment.

During the appointment, he allegedly exposed himself and asked her to do sexual acts. After the girl refused, he allegedly forced himself on her and assaulted her with the intent to commit sexual abuse.

He was housed in the Woodbury County Jail, and has since bonded out on a $20,000 bond.
