Soggy Start to the Weekend

May 19, 2017 - Have the umbrellas and rain jackets ready to go as it looks like we're going to have some wet and relatively cold weather for the weekend. We'll have continuous light-to-moderate rain showers slide through today. The high will only be 52° - over 20° below normal - and the wind is going to be strong too out of the NE with gusts toward 30 MPH. Unpleasant!

Tonight the rain will continue with a low of 40°.

Tomorrow will bring a similar scene with rain showers. During the afternoon they'll start to become more scattered and lose intensity as the storm system shifts northeast. Rain totals will measure between 1 and 2 inches with a few spots potentially seeing up to 3 inches. Our high tomorrow will be 53° and the wind will still be a nuisance gusting around 25 MPH from the NNW.

Sunday should yield some nicer weather with morning cloud cover followed up by afternoon sunshine. The high will be 65°.

Most of Monday will also be dry and sunny with a high in the lower 70s. Monday evening there's a chance of showers and thunderstorms and some of those could slip into Tuesday.

Wednesday and Thursday we'll see highs in the 70s and drier conditions to enjoy.

Have a great weekend!
