ORANGE CITY, Iowa - A jury found Sioux Center Health guilty of negligence in the a death of a Sioux County mother, and is awarding the family almost $30 million.
A jury also found Doctor Roy Slice guilty of negligence in the death of Carrie DeJongh.
According to court paperwork, DeJongh died on June 9, 2015 after having a reaction to dye used during a CT scan.
It goes on to say that Slice failed to diagnose and treat this reaction.
DeJongh's husband, and their four children, each received over $5 million each.
